OUR MISSION

In 2009, John Fezzuoglio created Owowcow with

the purpose of supporting local agriculture, serving his local community and creating an ice cream that was real and honest that he could share with his friends and family.

Thirteen years later, we work everyday to keep Owowcow true to its roots. We continue to source local & organic cream & milk, fruits and vegetables, cage free eggs and raw honey. As we grow, we pledge not to compromise our ingredients and the trust of our customers. Every year, we work tirelessly to do better than the year before, supporting more farms, removing plastics from our shops, creating more extraordinary flavors and supporting our local communities.

Cattle in Pasture

John
Fezzuoglio

Owner & Founder

Core to John's formation were the streets of Brooklyn's Italian neighborhood, to his fine art training at The School of Visual Arts in NYC. What followed were many years of working in the NYC graphic design field. Fast forward to 2009, Ottsville, Upper Bucks County and the birth of OwowCow. John has come to embrace and cherish all things "design." Bringing ordered relationships out of disparity and isolation. So for him, ice cream making was in essence the designing of flavor relationships on the palette that he brought into existence...and then experiencing the great joy of sharing them.

John's love for pure vanilla will never fade. In his own words, "It's the one flavor that allows the quality of the base ingredients to shine. Then there's butter pecan, pure magical essence of indulgence when butter is added to local organic cream."

What John enjoys most about the Cow is that we are a wildly diverse group of deeply committed, highly talented people that collectively embody authenticity, goodness and selfless collaboration.

Mandy
Douress

Bakery Manager

Mandy manages our in-house bakery. Much to our delight, she is equally as sweet as all of the sweet treat recipes she has up her sleeves. She came to us in May of 2020 and has been cranking out all the cookies, cakes, biscuits, and every confectionary delight you can think of ever since. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Mandy operated a small home bakery business for two years, before working as a cake decorator for five years. In our bakery Mandy can be found as the driving force behind our homemade, from scratch, and made with love confectionary concoctions. When she isn’t baking away, Mandy loves True Crime, live music, making jewelry, and of course - baking!

Mandy's absolute favorite flavor is Drunken Pineapple Caramel, but she also loves ordering any of the monthly specials.

Mandy is most proud of the authenticity of the cow. "Even though there’s always something new going on, we always stay true to what we stand for as a company.”

Nicole
Torres

Chalfont Store Manager

Nicole is our newest & brightest Chalfont Store Manager! Before the Cow, Nicole owned a pet sitting business for 6 years. She loved cultivating relationships with her clients, both the people and their pets! While it was an absolute blast, she decided it was time for a change and found her way to the Cow!

Nicole loves how everything is locally sourced and made fresh from scratch. She is a big fan of small businesses supporting local, and knows that you can taste the difference. While she loves any and all peach flavors, I Hate Chocolate will always have a special place in her heart.

Some fun facts about Nicole are; she has been horseback riding since Feb '01, lives full time in an RV on a horse farm with her dog, and enjoys working on vehicles and learning how to fix her huge truck (which can now always be seen parked out front the Chalfont shop). Stop by to say hi!

Ali
Rizzo

Executive Chef & Production  Manager

Our beloved Executive Chef & Production Manager comes to us from the esteemed Culinary Institute of America. This led her to positions in the FOH & BOH of restaurants, driven by her immeasurable love of food. Ali is responsible for keeping the ship afloat in our ice cream making facility, and she makes a mean ice cream flavor to boot. Outside of oWowCow HQ you can find Ali cooking & baking up a storm at home (she truly never stops), drawing, reinventing her hairstyles with the brightest and funkiest of colors, and is our resident arm wrestling champ. Along with her high school sweetheart husband, she’s the proud parent of a beautiful bearded dragon, Sol. Ali joined us in March of 2019, and hasn’t looked back since!

Alis' favorite is a small cup of midnight moon & mint chocolate chip on a waffle cone. In her own words "Mint cream is my all time favorite when it comes right out of the batch machine, no chocolate chips required. Amazing!"

Ali loves that the Cow supports the local businesses around us and strives for the best quality in everything we do. Integrity is incredibly important to her.

Shira
Wade

Managing Director, Partner

It was a cold, snowy Wednesday in the year 2012. Okay, maybe not. But the day the GM of our dreams joined us seems so long ago, and just like yesterday all the same. Shira began her career in advertising in NYC. From there she shifted gears to the world of organic produce, which would then lead to the natural descent into the world of...you guessed it. Ice cream! Makes sense, right? A true instance where following your heart pays off, and we couldn’t be more thankful for it. When she isn’t the answer to all things Owowcow, you can find her being a super mom to her (& let’s face it, our) beloved Daisy. When she's not working (ha), Shira loves taking adventures with her family, baking cookies, and documenting every moment of sweet sweet Daisy.

Depending on her mood, Shira will always go for a wafer cone with mint chocolate chip, cookies & cream, or I Hate Chocolate.

In her own words, "I love the authenticity of Owowcow. We are what we say we are. I love our family here. I love our product. & I love more than anything that we make people happy!"

Sam
Zotter

Facilities Manager

Sam is our Facilities Manager and a longtime employee of the cow. With several years in retail as a coffee extraordinaire and serving up delectable baked goods, she brought her expertise with her and joined our team back in 2015. Whenever any of our employees has a question regarding an ingredient, ask Sam. Need something around the shop fixed, installed, or an expert to help with troubleshooting? Ask Sam. She’s the answer to any & all of our questions, and is the ultimate handy woman. She’s truly a do-it-all kinda gal, and we couldn’t make it happen without her. While at home she enjoys baking cakes, “nerding out” with her husband, building extravagant Lego sets with her son William, and has quite possibly the most stylish wardrobe of funky leggings & hats we’ve ever seen.

Sam loves a scoop each of mocha chip and espresso served over a warm brownie, with a hot caramel drizzle over top, because she's a boss.

In Sam's words, “I have always loved the uniqueness of what we make and how we stay true to fresh and local as much as possible.”

Leslie
Morrow

Regional Manager

Leslie came to Owowcow following her graduation from St. Joe’s University back in 2015. She had spent most of her time prior to joining us in a physics lab, interning at a local hospital, and working as a research assistant. After several years of rigorous studies, she was searching for a bit of a break from it all and found a position as a shift manager at our Wrightstown location. She immediately fell in love with the cow and everyone she worked with, and even spent some time at our Lambertville location once upon a time. After a brief hiatus exploring other career paths, she quickly realized that what she loved was being able to interact with people and bring joy through ice cream. She’s been lovingly doing just that in Wrightstown ever since! When she isn’t running the shop you can find her reading, sewing, snowboarding, hiking, and cooking and baking at home.

Leslie's cow favorite is a combo of espresso and cinnamon bourbon in a milkshake with a caramel drizzle coated cup. Fancy!

In Leslie's words "The people and the environment we have. I couldn’t ask for a better group of co-workers and employees. Everyone is so passionate and kind, and we’re always looking out for one another. I feel lucky to be able to work with such wonderful people.”

Nena
Hall

Ottsville Store Manager

Nena is one of our newest additions to the Cow, and we couldn't be more excited she's here with us! She has an extensive background in the food service and delivery industry, and is a go getter and team player. After work, Nena loves to spend time with her wife, son, and their cats. Their favorite places usually involve water and sand. Nena was drawn to the Cow due to her appreciation of all things local & fresh...a specialty of ours!

Nena is an avid chocolate fan, so one of her favorite flavors is I Hate Chocolate, but she can still appreciate the sweet deliciousness of Rosewater Cardamom. Come give her a warm welcome at the Ottsville shop!

Vic Field

Head Pasteurizer & Ice Cream Pop Maker

Vic Field came to us all the way from Avon, New York. After befriending our Executive Chef, Ali, at the Culinary Institute of America, Ali brought Vic along to the Cow so they could fulfill all of our Pop fantasies as Head Pasteurizer and Ice Cream Pop Maker. They are quick and quiet and will sneak up on you with the most delicious pop ideas. The mastermind behind the blueberry lemon fizz pop and the chocolate caramel crunch pop, their head is always swimming with the next best novelty.

When Vic isn't being a powerhouse at our production facility, they are found hanging out with their two cats, Maggie and Beth. Vic loves baking, cooking, and reading independently published literature. They like to to keep their options open, so their favorite flavor is anything that is fresh out of the batching machine. Vic is strong, silent, and one mean pink drink!
